Focus on Kuzma. The yellow-violet winger expires in 2021 and hopes to receive a contract extension already in this market window

The yellow-violet winger expires in 2021 and hopes to receive a contract extension already in this market window, ensuring its future with the franchise.  "And he expects a hefty deal," announced ESPN's Brian Windhorst

Transfer times before starting next season will be noticeably tight, given that in the space of two days the NBA executives will have to switch from the draft to the free agent market ahead of the December 1 training camp.  The reigning champions of the Los Angeles Lakers, in particular, will have several issues to deal with, starting with the renewal of Anthony Davis (who will leave the contract to sign a new agreement with the yellow and purple, even if it is not known how long) to the various  Caldwell-Pope, Bradley, McGee, Rondo, Morris and Howard to be re-signed.  In fact, the only players with guaranteed contracts for next season are LeBron James, Danny Green, Alex Caruso, Talen Horton-Tucker and Kyle Kuzma, but a decision will have to be made for the latter as well.  The yellow-violet winger will in fact begin his fourth and final year of the rookie contract signed in 2017, at the end of which he can become a restricted free agent, but can now sign an extension of the contract with the team that chose him at  Draft.  And according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, "he expects a sizeable deal, or at least he hopes for it."  Kuzma was one of the few youngsters not sacrificed by the Lakers to reach Anthony Davis last year, but he has just returned from an intelocutoria year: despite the 12.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists on average often coming off the bench, he shot with 43.6  % from the field, 31.6% from three and 73.5% to free, gradually finding less space as the playoffs progress (21.6 minutes against Miami in the final, 23.6 in the rest of the playoffs) and without playing particularly well, so much so that  wondering which team would really be interested in giving him a deal that the Lakers can't match in a year, given his restricted free agent status.

The value of Kuzma as an asset on the market

Lakers, the new goal is Serge Ibaka

Above all, Kuzma is one of the few young "assets" that can be spent on the market to get to a player who is more in line with the moment in his career in which LeBron Jam is.
