There is something Caravaggesque in this path that leads a boy, now a man, from the lights of the Champions League to the greyness of a provincial pitch on which he is forced to train because he hasn't  found nothing else better.  Something cursed, even.  Where, however, the protagonist basks in the curse and feeds it continuously, now with deeds and now with words.  This is the eternal story of talent that is dissipated by those who own it and Mario Balotelli can give lessons on the subject.
